Elizabeth Teh
Counsellor-in-training working with Adults, Adolescents and Children
Elizabeth is currently pursuing her Master of Counselling at Monash University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with Honours from University of Northampton, UK. She is also a graduate member of the British Psychological Society.
Elizabeth has academic interest in the complex relationship between social networking site addiction and the psychological health of emerging adults, a topic she explored in her undergraduate dissertation. Counsellor-in-training working with Adults, Adolescents and Children, her work focuses on supporting clients with anxiety, depression and self-esteem issues. Grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Elizabeth is a counsellor-in- training under the supervision of Ariel Ko, Clinical Psychologist at Us Therapy. She provides therapy in English and Mandarin.
Elizabeth wears hearing aids to improve her hearing since she was born with a hearing impairment. Growing up with this challenge deeply shaped her perspective of the world. Her experiences have not only strengthened her resilience but also fueled her determination to help and make a positive impact of those who face similar situation. Her personal journey and professional training have given her the ability to empathize with people and to help others to navigate their own challenges to build healthier and fulfilling lives.
