Master of Educational Psychology (Australia), BSc (Hons) Psychology (United Kingdom) Esther specialises in assessments for children and adolescents. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), full member of the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS), and member of the British Psychological Society.

Background & Experience

Prior to joining Thrive Family, Esther worked for many years in a private multi-disciplinary clinic with both local and expatriate families. Esther has knowledge and experience collaborating with educational therapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and behavioural therapists, to tailor intervention support and maximise a child’s development.

Therapeutic approach

Esther is certified to and experienced in administering assessments for children and adolescents with different learning needs. Esther specialises in conducting cognitive, psycho-educational, and diagnostic assessments for children with learning difficulties, attentional difficulties, giftedness, and social-emotional challenges, and liaising with schools to develop intervention plans. Esther is also experienced with assessments targeted for school readiness, international school applications, and applications for examination accommodations. Esther also works with young children to support their emotional wellbeing, self-esteem, and social skills. Esther’s therapeutic approach is warm and child-centred, and taps into a range of evidenced-based interventions including cognitive behavioural therapy, solution focused therapy, social thinking, and zones of regulation.
