Yamini has a Master’s in Counselling from Monash University, Australia. She also holds a BA (hons) in English and is a certified Interior Designer.
Yamini enjoys working with adolescents and adults of all ages and identities. The foundation of her approach is person cantered with elements of ‘Cognitive Behavioural Therapy’ (CBT). She focuses on developing suitable therapy programmes, specific to the client, based on their needs and objectives. Exploring the clients’ strengths and values, are an integral part of her approach.
As a counsellor-in-training, Yamini is committed to providing clients, a safe space where they can share their life stories, challenges and experiences without any fear of being judged or blamed. A space where they will be understood with sensitivity and respect.

Yamini is a creative person with life experiences that enable her to understand and be empathetic toward others. Having lived in 4 countries in the last 20 years, she is open, and accepting of different nationalities and cultures. She is proficient in English and Hindi.
Yamini lives in Singapore with her husband, 11 year old daughter and 2 gorgeous labradoodles (her sons). A crazy dog lover, she enjoys fun times and travels with family, leads an active lifestyle with a steady flow of calmness.
Yamini is a counsellor-in-training under the supervision of Ariel Ko, Clinical Psychologist at Us Therapy.”
