Julia

Assistant Psychologist

Background and Experience

Julia is a Psychological Science graduate from James Cook University (Singapore) and holds a Diploma in Sport and Exercise Sciences. Her passion for psychology has always been rooted in sport. As an athlete, she became curious about how mindset, confidence, pressure, and resilience shape performance, and how mental health helps us thrive not just in sport, but in everyday life.

She previously worked as a multi-sports coach, where she witnessed children grow in skill and self-belief. That experience continues to inspire her goal of becoming a sports psychologist who supports athletes both mentally and emotionally.

Julia joined Us Therapy as an intern in 2025 and now works full-time as an Assistant Psychologist. She supports treatment progress and client engagement, while also working closely with the marketing lead on social media, campaigns, and events to make mental health conversations more accessible and relatable.

Personal

Outside of work, Julia plays touch football and represents the Philippines national team. Sport keeps her grounded and constantly reminds her of the power of teamwork and resilience.

At home, her heart belongs to her cats, Amelia and Troy. She loves them deeply and credits her with genuinely improving her quality of life, bringing comfort, companionship, and small daily moments of joy.
