Justina Tan
Counsellor-in-training working with Adults, Adolescents and Children
Justina is a counsellor-in-training with a postgraduate certificate in Counselling and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Counselling at Monash University, Australia. As an entrepreneur and mother of two, she understands the complexities of balancing personal well-being, family life, and professional demands. This perspective enables her to connect deeply with individuals and couples experiencing relationship dynamics, as well as those navigating career growth and professional hurdles.
Justina’s experience of living and working abroad has allowed her to develop deep empathy for clients dealing with cultural transitions, adjustments, and the feelings of isolation that often accompany these changes. Having faced significant life-altering events herself, Justina is particularly passionate about supporting individuals battling through disabilities, trauma, grief, and loss. She hopes to be an anchor for her clients as they recover from their traumatic events, guiding them toward a path that fosters faith, resilience, and personal growth. She provides therapy in English and Mandarin.
Justina’s practice also includes supporting at-risk youth, where she is dedicated to their rehabilitation and reintegration into society. In addition, she integrates faith and therapy through biblical counselling at her church, providing holistic support to her community.
Her therapeutic approach is eclectic, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy. Justina tailors her approach to each client’s unique needs, creating a safe and non-judgmental space where clients feel empowered to rebuild their lives with strength and purpose. Her priority is to ensure that every client feels genuinely understood and valued.
Under the supervision of clinical psychologist Ms. Ariel Ko, Justina continues to refine her skills and empower her clients to create positive, lasting changes in their lives.
“In every season of change, there is grace enough to heal and grow.”
