Sakshi is currently pursuing a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling from The School of Positive Psychology specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Sakshi is also currently training at a Singapore based NGO dedicated to providing confidential emotional support to individuals facing crisis, thinking about or affected by suicide.
Sakshi has previously worked with corporates for over 5 years in Business Development &
Marketing across India and Singapore and deeply understands the complexities and pressures of working professionals trying to balance work, family and themselves. Being an expat herself, Sakshi has moved 5 cities and 2 countries and deeply understands the complexities that come with major life changes such as re-location, career transitions, marriage and changing family dynamics.
Sakshi is dedicated to providing a safe space, confidentiality and an empathic ear to help you cope better with life’s challenges and overcome signs of stress, anxiety, grief and depression. She provides therapy in English & Hindi.
Sakshi is transitioning from a successful career as a Sales and Marketing professional with a strong background in research around consumer behaviour and psychology to now channelling her expertise into counselling and psychotherapy. Her choice of transition is driven by a deep passion to understand human behaviour and cultivate emotional resilience.
Sakshi’s unique blend of skills in effective communication, empathic listening and understanding of diverse client needs along with the ability to apply well-researched evidence based approaches with her clients equips her to support and guide individuals seeking mental health support, self-discovery, healing and personal growth.
Therapeutic Approach
Sakshi is keen to work with adults and couples. Her therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s unique needs and personality. She draws from diverse therapeutic approaches that include Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic insights, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused-Brief Therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness-based techniques. She works closely with her clients to help them build self-awareness, coping strategies and emotional regulation, improve relationships and communication, support growth and meaning-making and facilitate healing and trauma processing.
Sakshi is originally from India, previously lived in Germany for completing her Masters and has been residing with her husband in Singapore for over 7 years now. She is a loving pet parent to a goofy little corgi and loves to paint, read and cafe hop, trying out new coffee blends in some of the cosiest cafes in town during her leisure time.
