In the past few years, she supported children with emotional and behavioural difficulties in relation to their physical health difficulties, as well as adults who presented with anxiety, low mood, OCD, PTSD and other mental health difficulties. She also completed psychometric assessments and cognitive assessments for children, adolescents and adults. Vanessa has worked across hospitals, community mental health clinics and school settings.
Therapeutic Approaches
Vanessa provides clinical assessment and treatment for emotional and behavioural difficulties for children, adolescents and adults. Vanessa uses an integrative therapy approach that is informed by cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), narrative therapy and systemic approach. While always ensuring that therapy is always client centred and provided in a safe, non-judgmental space, she adopts an expressive and play-based approach with children.
