The foundation of her approach is person centred with elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness Therapy . She focuses on developing suitable therapy programmes, specific to the client, based on their needs objectives and goals. Exploring the clients’ strengths and values, are an integral part of her approach.
As an associate counsellor, Yamini is committed to a collaborative approach, providing clients a safe space to share their life stories, challenges and experiences without any fear of judgement or shame. A space where they will be understood with sensitivity and respect.

A Master’s in Counselling with specialized training in ‘ACT with grief’, Yamini adopts an empathetic approach, taking into account the cultural and psychological factors of the clients.

Yamini is a creative person with life experiences that enable her to understand and be empathetic toward others. Having lived in 4 countries in the last 20 years, she is open, and accepting of different nationalities and cultures.
Yamini lives in Singapore with her husband, 12 year old daughter and 2 gorgeous labradoodles (her sons). A crazy dog lover, she enjoys fun times and travels with family, leads an active lifestyle with a steady flow of calmness.
