Background And Experience

Charissa is a counsellor-in-training, currently completing her Master in Counselling from Monash University. She brings over six years of experience as a social service professional, where she has supported individuals and families of diverse ages and backgrounds.

Charissa’s experience in the social service sector spans children and youth work, family support, and crisis intervention. Her career has allowed her to journey with people through transitions, moments of crisis, and other challenges. This has given her insight into the different challenges people face across life stages and a strong foundation as she builds her counselling practice.

Charissa believes that wellness is more than the absence of illness; mental health is about being resilient, feeling fulfilled, and ultimately thriving. She is passionate about walking alongside individuals and families through different stages of life, and she is especially committed to creating safe, affirming spaces for people from marginalised or underrepresented communities.
