Background And Experience
Claudia is a Counsellor-in-Training currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology. Prior to her counselling training, Claudia worked as a Global Human Resources Manager. These experiences sparked a deeper interest in understanding human behavior, emotional wellbeing, and the factors that help people create meaningful change in their lives.
Born and raised in Brazil within a Japanese-Brazilian family and now living in Singapore, Claudia has lived and worked alongside people from Latin American, Asian, and Western cultural backgrounds. These experiences have given her an appreciation for the diverse life experiences that shape each person’s perspective.
Claudia also has experience in supporting individuals through coaching conversations focused on self-discovery, life transitions, career development, and personal growth.
She is currently working towards ICF certification and continues to engage in regular supervision, reflective practice, and ongoing professional development.
Approach
Claudia believes that meaningful change begins when people feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted. She strives to create a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at a pace that feels right for them.
She approaches each client with genuine curiosity, and values taking time to recognize that every person’s experiences shape the way they understand themselves, the people and the world around them.
She believes that greater self-understanding often becomes the foundation for meaningful and lasting change. Working collaboratively with her clients, she hopes to create space for the kind of reflection that opens doors to new perspectives, strengthens their inner resources, and find a way forward that feels authentic and sustainable.
More About Claudia
Having experienced living across cultures and navigating significant life transitions herself, Claudia understands that periods of change can bring uncertainty, vulnerability, and questions about identity and purpose.
She appreciates the courage it takes to seek support and believes that these moments can also become opportunities for growth, resilience, and self-discovery.
Claudia is a native speaker of Brazilian Portuguese, is fluent in English, conversational in Spanish and Italian, and can confidently order a meal in Japanese.
When she’s not studying or seeing clients, Claudia is probably planning her next trip, trying a new recipe or spending quality time with family and friends.
Testimonials From Clients & Health Provider Partners
Just wanted to highlight that my experience with Us was a very pleasant one from the start. My therapist, Ariel was a perfect fit for me. She made the sessions feel like a safe space, and was always celebrating my little victories with me. I look forward to every session knowing I was going to leave the room feeling a little bit more empowered, and that my time would be well spent. I would definitely recommend the clinic to all, and assure everyone that scheduling appointments are a breeze. The clinic is flexible and accommodating too.
Overall, I'm quite happy. I feel Ariel is supportive and patient with me, even when I keep going back to the same topics over and over.
