Approach
Chhaya’s approach to counselling is grounded in a client-centred, humanistic philosophy, inspired by the work of Carl Rogers. She believes that a strong genuine, empathetic trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful and lasting change. By providing a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space, she supports clients in exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at a pace that feels right for them.
Alongside her humanistic foundation, Chhaya integrates elements of cognitive therapy to help clients identify and gently challenge unhelpful patterns of thinking and deeply held beliefs. Her work focuses on supporting individuals to develop sustainable coping trategies and adaptable ways of responding to life’s chalenges
Drawing on her background in emotional intelligence, Chhaya also incorporates principles of Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), supporting clients to process difficult emotions while thoughtfully integrating psychodynamic perspectives where appropriate. Rather than adhering rigidly to a single therapeutic model, she tailors her approach to each client’s unique needs, goals, and lived experiences. Her goal is for client’s to overcome their current challenges, create meaning from life’s adversities and grow emotionally resilient.

Testimonials From Clients & Health Provider Partners
Just wanted to highlight that my experience with Us was a very pleasant one from the start. My therapist, Ariel was a perfect fit for me. She made the sessions feel like a safe space, and was always celebrating my little victories with me. I look forward to every session knowing I was going to leave the room feeling a little bit more empowered, and that my time would be well spent. I would definitely recommend the clinic to all, and assure everyone that scheduling appointments are a breeze. The clinic is flexible and accommodating too.
Overall, I'm quite happy. I feel Ariel is supportive and patient with me, even when I keep going back to the same topics over and over.
