Background And Experience
Shruti Narayan is a counsellor-in-training currently completing her Master of Counselling at Monash University. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Cardiff University, UK, where she developed a strong foundation in psychological research, mental health, and evidence-based approaches to therapy.
Shruti has lived and studied across Singapore, the UK, and Malaysia, which has given her a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and the different ways individuals experience and understand mental health. These experiences have shaped her ability to work with people from varied cultural, social, and personal backgrounds with openness, curiosity, and respect.
Approach
Shruti takes a collaborative, client-centred approach to therapy, working with individuals to understand their experiences, patterns, and the factors that may be maintaining their difficulties.
She is currently training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that explores the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, and how these patterns influence wellbeing. Alongside this, her work is guided by person-centred principles that emphasise empathy, understanding, and respect for each client’s unique story.
Shruti believes that therapy is a collaborative process, where understanding a person’s story, values, and experiences forms the foundation for meaningful change. Her approach is warm, reflective, and supportive, focusing on helping individuals develop insight, resilience, and practical tools to navigate life’s difficulties.

Testimonials From Clients & Health Provider Partners
Just wanted to highlight that my experience with Us was a very pleasant one from the start. My therapist, Ariel was a perfect fit for me. She made the sessions feel like a safe space, and was always celebrating my little victories with me. I look forward to every session knowing I was going to leave the room feeling a little bit more empowered, and that my time would be well spent. I would definitely recommend the clinic to all, and assure everyone that scheduling appointments are a breeze. The clinic is flexible and accommodating too.
Overall, I'm quite happy. I feel Ariel is supportive and patient with me, even when I keep going back to the same topics over and over.
