Background And Experience
Yuanxi is a psychotherapist-in-training and a graduating student of the Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling.
She has over four years of experience working in the preschool sector, where she
supported children with special needs and their families. Through this work, she developed a deep appreciation for the unique challenges that children and caregivers face, and gained experience helping families navigate stress, emotional difficulties, and everyday life transitions with greater resilience and confidence.
Yuanxi also spent four years working as a Customer Service Executive. This experience
strengthened her interpersonal skills, empathy, and ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds while remaining calm and solution-focused in challenging situations.
Approach
Yuanxi adopts a client-centred and collaborative approach to therapy. She draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), tailoring her work to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals. She believes in creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their concerns, develop greater self-awareness, and work towards meaningful change.
